Mothers day

special day #3 for me: my family did not disappoint in making this a very special day for me. I know this day is hard for some women for several reasons, either they don't have their own children, their own mother was not what they want to celebrate or has passed on from this life. Whatever the reason, we all have a mother somewhere to thank for us being here on earth. Even if that's the only good thing your mother has done for you is brought you into this world, then we are all better for our mothers. Even if you're earthly mother is not what you love, then we have a Heavenly Mother who thinks we are the most special child she has and loves.

That said, my mother is amazing. She does anything and everything for her family. 7 children and one busy husband. I never realized how hard her life must have been to raise all of us (she still worries and frets over us and we're all grown up out of the house, never far from her mind and heart). I love my mom - we spent a lot of time together as I was the youngest and toted around to every football game, baseball, track, wrestling, local, travel, state tournaments, pageants for my sister, family reunions, Twin Lakes, and then for my own athletics (those were just for my siblings).

I love my husband for helping me become the wife and mother I want to be. I'm far from perfect, but I'm working on it. :) On to the gifts:

a speaker for my iphone - thanks Jeff! it serves a dual purpose because his phone connects to it too and he could use it for his Sunday school class. :)

and from Lea - a mustache keychain - it's awesome! (bet you didn't know that was me in disguise!?)

I mustache you a question, but I'll shave it for later....hahaha!
El Jefe made cafe rio for dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed it - the kids had pb&j.
