until next year - Twin Lakes

So long Twin Lakes - until next year. Hopefully Jeff will be able to join us.
My mom/dad's cabin - the one we stay in too.
skipping rocks as we wait for the ferry to come back
Liz, Mo, Lea, Calla, Abbey, Dallin
A must stop there and back from Twin Lakes. (we missed the 'there' stop because we drove 'there' on Sunday)

boys vs girls

 girls: hair cuts

 shayla's healthy hair
Sharise's turn - much concentration on my part.

 Abbey is a budding photographer

Boys turn: Kraig and his family along with Daniel took Lucas fishing. I was nervous he would get bored, make too much noise and scare the fish away. :) Looks like when you catch fish, fishing is not boring. He had a great time and was so excited to tell Jeff all about it. How he was going to teach Jeff how to fish.
Daniel took the fish out back and cleaned them up for Lucas to take home and eat later.

Now it's the Bees turn: Shay was standing by the window to the parents cabin and a bee landed on her chest - she sent to swipe at it and got stung - 2 times! Once on the chest and once on her hand. This year the bees were mild - some years they are all over the place.

Quit that screaming back there!

One of the times out on the boat some of the kids were screaming while tubing....(hahaha!) to which Abbey said 'Quit that screaming back there!' My dad thought it was hilarious - I'm sad I missed her saying it. She's quite a funny girl that Abbey. I figured I'd take a turn with Mo on the tube. He didn't ski this year and didn't totally love the water or his lifejacket. So we took the safe route of the inner-tube.
 Shay, me, Mo, Abbey
I got a little nervous here - was trying to figure out what I would do should one of them fall off or I fall and take Mo with me...yikes!!

Okay someone else's turn. Calla, Ashley, Melissa
hold on - oh man there it goes!!!
 1, 2,......
 3!

NEXT! Brianna, Lea, Rachel - with a guest boat to watch the show: Ryan, Liz and Meghan
ooooo, Grandpa will be in so much trouble if he dumps Lea off......!?
 so close - whew!
 too much excitement for Mo.

Next group with specific instructions from Liz. 'Grandpa just make sure I'm not the only one you who falls off.' 'Sure Liz' (Tanner, Melissa, Liz)
Tanner spent a lot of time hanging onto the side of the tube.
 here comes the fun:
 see any fish, Liz??
Grandpa failed. haha! Lucas told me today (Nov 11, 2012) I told Lizzie she needed to take 'climbing on/hanging on' lessons from Tanner. :)
the driver - he doesn't often make an appearance in the pictures
 So long!! (Brianna, Lucas, Ashley)

Learning to ski is fun to do...

to do, to do. Learning to ski is fun to do, to do, to do, to do.
Trenton learning to cut so the spray is bigger. This kid just entered the Air Force - go T!
Time for the littles to ski: Abbey, Brianna, Ashley
Rozann & Taylee

Here's how the littles now learn how to ski - a helped in the water with a flag for safety after we leave them behind in the water. What you can't see is me holding the other end of the rope in the boat. We adjusted the rope a couple times.
Shay's rope was too short.
Lucas' rope was too long.
almost! The trick with the littles is they can practically stand before the boat starts going.....
putting the skis back on.
so close. next year.
and Abbey's rope was......
just
(see how far back Steven is in the water??)
  right! wahoo!!

Now Taylee gets to ski with Steven - she's 1!
 'Hi MOM!'
Ashley rocking the skis
Brianna showing off her knee boarding skills
I'm grateful my brothers are there to help my kids learn to ski and love the water. Almost every time they'd come find me and ask if we'd like to join them. Love my family.
