Sometimes I forget that my friends and I actually did other things before we ever were moms. For example: my friend Erin was a gymnast and also coached. Gymnastics was something I have always enjoyed watching, but was never brave enough to try. I also couldn't part with the other sports I enjoyed playing.
So here's a list of things I was before I was a mom: (these are things most people don't know, unless we've been friends since before I was a mom)
1. Athlete (although in high school, I spent a lot of time watching games instead of playing....)
-Soccer- played soccer from around age 7 til a junior in high school - played some intramurals at BYU
-Basketball - same as soccer
-Softball - played until I was a Freshman in high school
-Volleyball - only played 7th & 8th grade, some church ball and the yearly games at Twin Lakes.
2. Student - preschool through finishing BYU. :) Preschool was my favorite... :)
3. went to movies because they were cheap (so am I) - 50 cents in Provo on Tuesdays
4. Waterskiier - not so much anymore because we live to far from my parents who own the boat and well - just not as fit as I used to be..........ugh.
5. Cheerleader - unofficially. No I never wore those outfits - besides I can barely stand talking to people - why would I want to cheer in front of a huge crowd.....I went to a lot of football games in my younger days and a lot of baseball. Jeff is proud that I know just as much as he does about football (sometimes more...) :)
Now that I'm a mom:
1. Taxi - currently a mini-van fam. Which I love!!!
2. Chef - my famous dishes are PB&J, enchiladas, chicken nuggets, and I pour a mean bowl of cereal. It's a big hit among the customers.
3. Interior decorator - it's a work in progress
4. Fashion Consultant - I try to let them (and this includes Jeff....) have their artistic freedom to express their personalities with a little guidance from myself. :)
5. Hair dresser - I love to fix Lea's hair - I'll post pictures of her cute hairdos.
6. Doctor & nurse
7. maid - I dislike this part. I don't like to fold laundry (which is usually apparent by the piles of laundry around the house) and I hate doing dishes. I don't mind if they do not pile up - it's when they pile up in the sink that I get overwhelmed.....
8. I'm trying to get back to playing sports - I play basketball once a week and volleyball twice a week with other moms during the day.
9. Teacher's aide: Help Lea with her homework and learning phonograms.

Much more independent... and what did I do with all that spare time?? Man, that seems like another lifetime!
Glad to see you guys have a blog now! I can't believe this domain name wasn't taken...
The kids look so cute and grown up. Can't wait to see more pictures.
it's been so freakin' long, i can't even remember... that is why i love erin and jami so much lol... when we all lived out there, and they would stop by and hang out, it reminded me that i was something other than a mom, that i had fun things to talk about, and actually might have even been a smidge cool once lol....
