New splashpad

We gladly took the chance to try out the new splash pad with our older cousins who might be 'too old' for it.
Lucas made sure Calla enjoyed the nice cool water.
 Aubry and Mo
Lea joined in on the fun of getting Calla
Abbey slipped on the Basketball slide and hit her nose - I quickly snapped a picture then found the nearest towel to clean her up.
Lea, Lizzie, ?? (only because I don't know who she is - she just wanted to join in the fun), Calla and Mo - they ran through several arches of spraying water. Mo loved this!
Kristin, Aubrey and Shayla - I thought it was hard to take a decent picture of children.....
Cousins!! Calla, Lucas, Ammon, Aubrey, Liz, Abbey and Lea
 waiting for Mo....
there he is! Ouch to Abbey's sunburn from Tahoe.....
We went 4 for 4 kids crying while we there. :)
Lea slipped and scratched her leg.
Abbey got the bloody nose
Mo fell and bonked his head
Lucas let go of the monkey bars at the park and got a sliver in his hand from the bark. I was able to pull it out with my fingernails.

All in all, it was a successful and beautiful day at the park!

Sweet reunion

Family is numero uno - no matter how we're related or where you live, we are family. And since my grandparents passed away when I was 8 and 16, I have a special place in my heart for Jeff's grandparents. Grandpa Risenmay and Grandma Reynolds have since passed away, but they were still living when we got married and we spent many wonderful moments with them. So off to Portland to visit with Grandpa Reynolds. We provide much needed entertainment for him. :)

Always fun to eat 'dinner' with Grandpa at noon....

silly girl.
silly boy.
A good game of  'Gotcha'

ice cream is a must while we watch the birds
high-fives and a 'muckles' (knuckles) or a boxing match as it appears

Back to Grandpa's room where all the fun toys are: wheelchair, cane, and walker provide the kids with endless entertainment.
This is one of my favorite pictures - kids are riding around making lots of noise - Grandpa just chillin' in the chair enjoying the moment.
OREOS are a must - Grandpa always has cookies for the kids.

Time to say good-bye. We had to take Jeff to his aunt's house to fly back to Phoenix the next day and we needed to get on the road to Richland.
Okay maybe this one and the next one are my favorite. Tears of joy we came to visit and sadness that we're leaving.
Finished this post just in time for Grandpa's birthday in a couple weeks - we love you!
