Crashing, barefoot, one foot, ow!!

My sister Kristin was hoping to find some good 'crashes' caught film? digital? captured. I was on the look out and spent many hours in the boat taking pictures of planned and most of the time, unplanned finishes.
Here's the good, better, and best - also the most painful.

First up: Brianna

Melissa is next: a little more graceful.

Rachel:

Here's where the big kid fun begins. I went out to spot for my brothers. My dad is a very talented skier and likes to mix it up. So in years past, he's done many tricks. He's ridden a saucer (flat circle plywood and a camp chair), one foot in the rope, jumped the wake - from one side to the other and several others. It was time for my brothers to show their stuff.

Kraig:

 Brendan driving Abbey and Lucas

 The foot trick:

 Try 2:
 GOT IT!!!

Um, now how do I get my foot out?
 this is one way.....

 Mo, my faithful sidekick.

Steven's turn:

 Nailed it!

Oh wait, how do I get my foot out again? Kraig did it this way:
it hurts just looking at it.

Now to do all of them in one run:
Jump the wake
 foot up
got the foot down - that should count for something....
 spoke too soon.

one more run:
the barefoot - this is Steven's skill:
 So talented. :)

Lake fun - 2013

so it's that time of year again and we're headed to the Lake......I'm still posting about last year. Here comes the posting blitz.

Once a week, my mom gets on the waverunner - when my dad isn't driving. ;) She gets in the boat at least once. She's not as young as she used to be.
but she loves it.

We have family night. My sister leads - she's good at it.
skits.....that occasionally poke fun at the old folks who started all this madness...... my dad
Jeremy Crystal being Gerald jumping off a plane.

The girls did a skit - Lea, Ashley and Rachel
we show off our dance moves to Hannah Montana

Tanner serenades us with a little country music.

And then we start all over the next day with more skiing. :) This time with less tears and I didn't even ask her to do it.

 Tanner jumps into help.
 so close!
One last time, we got this!
 pulled over the skis.....next time

Tanner shows off his mad skills
 my favorite. ha!
 much better.

Seriously - isn't this the most beautiful place you've ever seen?

Brotherly love?

I can't resist a good 'water' fight. Especially when I can document the whole thing from my seat at the edge of the dock and I'm not involved. :)

Round 1: Kraig (my oldest brother in the red shirt), Steven (youngest, older brother - 2 years older than me - blue shirt), Tanner (Steven's 14 year old son)
Round 1 winner - KRAIG!
 still dry.

 Steven.....not dry.

Round 2 and much closer this time than the end of the dock. I'm not sure who won this round.

Round 3 - Kraig carrying his 12 year old son Tyler for a lovely dip in the lake. Looks like we have a clear winner.

or maybe not.......here comes Tanner.
the dock is not quiet when you're running after someone....
I'm not sure where Tyler went after this picture....he may have gotten free from his 'toss in the lake'

Round 3, part 2.
Steven not to be out done, returns for payback.
 can't miss the 2 for 1 push.
except Tanner only got 1 of them and now has to get the 2nd.
I think Shay's tears saved Tanner from losing Round 3.
 revenge is sweet. :)
Love my family, we're very close. :)
