Back from the Lake to spend another week with my parents and family. Jeff was unable to get any days off work until Aug 3, school started Aug 6....so we had lots of fun until we had to go home.
Cutest clown in town......
and such beautiful 'pretties' - thanks Shayla. Jeff was less than thrilled with this photo I sent..haha!
This guy - not so pretty. He hitched a ride from Twin Lakes - I swear this is the same one I came face to face with on the door to the cabin - now it was trying to get inside the house - ew. I took it's picture for proof, then picked it up with a shovel, yes a shovel, and carried it to it's doom in the garbage can. Noone believed me when I said how big it was at the Lake. disgusting.
On to more pretty things - Lea's birthday!! Her birthday was the Sunday after we returned - July 29th. I had purchased a few gifts before we left and thankfully my sister-in-law Stephanie was so thoughtful and made cupcakes with ice cream for a little birthday celebration. Lea LOVED! playing with Rachel - they got along great and played dolls and all sorts of girlie things. Abbey, Mo and Lucas played with Tyler and Ryan. We enjoyed the fish Lucas caught and some Salmon all the way from Alaska - courtesy of Stephanie's dad and brothers. SO GOOD! The rest of the families came over for dessert.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEA!! 9!! The cupcakes were as delicious as they look. :)
Thanks for the gifts - she loves all the make-up, chapsticks, picture frame, Minnie Mouse sheets, and princess dolls.
Later at Grandpa's there was a magic show.....
Special tricks include: Where did the coin go that was in Grandpa's hand??
Are you fast enough to keep the coin in your hand?
The magic folding wallet - one side it holds the money with an 'X' and the other side it's a line at the top and one at the bottom - awesome!!
Some tumbling was done by the other performers
Mo the Magician was still trying to figure out how to do 'keep the coin'.....tricky that Grandpa Magician.
Time for bed - Lea's ear was bothering her and the kids wanted Grandpa to read them a bed-time story. Good night!
