H&G. Hi and Good-bye!

It's an oldie but a goodie - can you name that movie?!
 One last round of foosball
one last round of tears over not getting a fair chance to play foosball and here have a freeze-pop because we have a ton and don't want to throw them out or leave them behind.
 vaca-maca Steven
this is how you give Grandpa Reynolds a hug from Steven when we get to Portland

Finally! We finally were able to see the Nilssens.....we just couldn't meet up and the hour before we left, we played at the park said H&G and went on our way to Portland. It was so good to see them even if for that brief time. Great friends we miss ALOT.
 Soren and Abbey
 Svea, Abbey, Soren, and Lucas
 Liv, Ashley, and me

While I said good-bye, Jeff put together a little photo-tour of the place.
finally in the car and on the road - Mt Shasta here we come!

How California does Tahoe

We headed for the California side of Tahoe - the 'sand' was similar, but smaller grains and not painful - nice.
The brothers were finally convinced to rent a kayak for an hour. Best idea yet.
Abbey and Steven went out for a ride and almost had a collision with that swimmer.
Mo again was content to stay on the blanket
I went with Eric and Kaibs. We had the following conversation:
'Eric, do you have your water merit badge?'
'Yes, I'm very careful when it comes to water. I never tipped over the boat at scout camp. Why?'
'Well just wondering if you had the same sense as Jeff - the 'let's see if we can tip this thing over and then try to flip it back over in the water' sense.'
'No, I don't - would he tip you over if you were in the boat together?'
'Um, yes without hesitation. I'm glad you're in the boat with me and not Jeff.' :)
 The hole has been dug.
Next ones out and the camera is strapped onto Jase.
Lucas and Jeff - some good Father/Son bonding.
Good job girls - swim duckies, swim!
 Beautiful scenery and candid close-ups
patiently waiting for another turn - the kayak was only still long enough to switch
 whoa!
 Lucas practicing his flying skills
still on the blanket mom - sand: the best babysitter I never had to pay.
Mandy's triumphant return - she didn't want to get wet.....so close.

After a long day at the lake, the kids were worn out, Lucas caught his ear on a nail on the couch and it was time for bed. Nothing better than sharing a video of 'Call me, maybe' with Dad.
 What's next dad? Sleep.
 good night little ones.

Around the cabin: Lake Tahoe edition

We spent 4 days (something like that) - what we did before the outdoor adventures began.
Jeff worked - every morning....some vacation for him.
Grandma fed whomever was closest - usually Lucas and Mo
Mo occasionally helped himself to the cereal or whatever he could find in arms reach.
 and thoroughly enjoyed it.
 fuseball (Jeff needed a break)
 the discovery of 'Temple Run'
buttons to push - a coaster to use
and I got a hair cut - mostly layers and a trim off the end for some healthy looking and much lighter (less of it, not the color).
Best.vacation.ever. CHEESE!
