We.are.family!

I'm back and it's still 2013 on my blog, cool.
Sorensen FAMILY reunion. The best thing that happens every 3 years.
It was a little windy and Calla has a lot of hair. :)

Went to visit my Grandma and Grandpa Sorensen, LOVE THEM!
 This is their LEGACY.
Their children still gather all of us extended and even farther extended family every 3-4 years. Vivian, Ken, Gaye, Gerald, Arlo. They take turns planning and partying.
 We love the bounce slides!

We gather for Genealogy lessons
 Mom, Adrian, Uncle Ken

We listen to the brothers and sisters share stories of their youth and about Grandma and Grandpa Sorensen. I wish I had those recorded. Anyone? We need to write these down!
 Aunt Vivian
 Uncle Ken
 Aunt Gaye
 Gerald (my dad), Gug
Arlo (these are in order from oldest to youngest, even though my dad has the whitest hair of them all)

We wear coordinating shirts starting at the siblings on down their posterity line - we had maroon this year. We also enjoy the stylish family photos from years past....oh the 80's..
Calla, Rachel, Liz

We take family photos - Georgia and Rylan
my parents still very much in love as they were 60+ years ago.

We practice skits and dances because I actually have siblings who like to do that sort of public display of embarrassment called 'family talent show'

We eat. A.LOT. We talk. A.LOT. We laugh. A.LOT. 3 days of fun-filled, family, togetherness!
these are shirts from years past, starting in 1983, I think is when that yellow shirt is from...

Good times! I love this family and am grateful to be a part of the Sorensen Legacy.

Aggie country

A brief highlight of the Sorensen family reunion - according to my iphone. We covered all the important events: Logan Temple, visited my grandparents (Sorensens), my friend Brittney and her cute kids which our kids became instant friends (had no doubt they wouldn't!), Aggie ice cream, Jeff finally joined us and was attacked by some very happy children!, cousin time, family photos, family competition and finally some very tired, very exhausted, sleeping children!

can't leave that perfectly good football field untouched....I think this is the 30+ age group.

super cute cousins! Shay, Georgia, Abbey

okay maybe only 3 were tired. ;)

Detour to IF

We drove down to Utah for the Sorensen family reunion and stopped in Burliegh, ID for then night. I got thinking that it was probably close to Idaho Falls...was it possible to stop there for part of the day, spend the night, then continue on to Logan?! We missed the 4th there in 2013 and the Webbs. I texted them and was happy they were home to have us visit!

lunch at Taco Bell and Subway - best of both worlds.

We stop here first and take this picture to text Jeff - guess where we are?!

Thankfully Grandma was still home when we just dropped in!

On to the Webbs!!!
Love these girls - so happy to have them with us! (Liz, Calla)

we might be from Arizona and over react a little when it 'rains'.

We head to the Falls again and Brady says the kids are fine to walk on the rocks, they've never had any one fall in before..... (famous last words)
 miracle it wasn't Lucas.
 everyone is still dry.
seriously so hard to take a decent photo. :)

 there we go.

annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd, there you have it, the soaking wet kid belongs to the Webbs. Nicely done Jonas.
such great friends - warms my heart.

 BYE!!! Until next year!
